Eco-Friendly, Repurpose, Upcycle and Recycle Products

Repurpose

Repurpose

Going green!  That is the ticket these days.  No one wants to waste anymore.  We all want to ensure our present and the future by contributing back.  Eco-friendly which means not harmful to the environment.  Repurpose meaning to take a product and make it or use it into something else other than what it was originally intended.  Upcycle is not a term you hear too much.  It is the new buzz word.  Upcycle is taking “factory” scraps or unused materials and repurposing it into something new.  As oppose to the term “recycle” which is taking old and used materials and repurposing it.

Here are a few great ideas on eco-friendly, repurpose and upcycle products that you can buy or make yourself.

  • Wooden cutting boards – even better take unused scrap hardwoods and repurposing it to a functional item you can use every day.
  • Plastic Fashionable Hand Bags – made from factory scrap wraps like candy or coffee.  Imagine, taking several M&M candy wraps and upcycling it into a fabulous hand bag.  Sustainability!
  • Home Decor like a bottle cap chime.  It’s really easy.  Sounds harder just thinking about it.  But taking old bottle caps and making it into a home decor is truly shabby chic.
