Absolutely!  I cannot tell you enough how clients when they receive a professional “thank you” gift from their vendors on how much they truly enjoy and appreciate the thought put into giving them a gift after the close of sale.  You were a customer at one point, right?.  If your vendor gave you a thank you gift even if it was just a handwritten note, wouldn’t that make you smile?  You would definitely remember the moment you received it and you will definitely remember your vendor forever.  So how do you say thank you?  Here are a few suggestions:

  • The Definition of Gratitude

    The Definition of Gratitude

Personalized it in a different language especially if it is from their family heritage.  Say thank you in their language.  Engrave it on a handmade wooden cutting board.  Pair it with cheese knives, cheeses, crackers, jellies and jam.  Wrap it up like a basket using the cutting board as your base.

  • Give your customer(s) the definition of gratitude.  Print it and wrap it around candies or home baked cookies or goodies.  Pioneer Party and Gift got the right idea.
  • Buy them a cup of coffee (a gift card would work) and wrap a handwritten note around it saying “thanks a LATTE for your business and friendship”.  Simple right?

A “thank you” gift doesn’t have to be fancy, just has be special … especially by you.

1. Look for originality and uniqueness.  More often than not, uniqueness is always the winner.  It doesn’t have to be original, but a little different is always good.

2. Look for handmade.  Handmade gifts are always one of a kind.  It is unique in it’s own way as there are no two alike.  Maybe similar, but not quite the same making your gift truly different and meaningful.

3. Think of who you are giving it to and make it personal.  Engraving or embroidery is always a great touch to your gift.  Making it an heirloom.  Adding their family names, bride and groom with their wedding date, name of the person, a saying they know and so on.  The more it is personalized, the more it becomes special to the individual(s) you are gifting to.

Thank You to Mac Cutting Boards from Legacy Painting Contractors

David and I would like to say “Thank You” to Josie and Bart, for their unique quality hardwood my guide.  Unlike past gifts we have purchased for our customers, these cutting boards make beautiful and long lasting heirlooms for years to come.  For them to be richly unique, they continually search for unused hardwood scraps that Bart repurposes into
cutting board works of art.

Not only do they make great clients gifts, but our family members, friends and neighbors have also enjoyed receiving their very own my guide.  Our favorite gift is when we purchase one as a wedding gift and have it specially engraved with the couples names and wedding dates!

After meeting Josie, I quickly recognized not only her sweet personality but also her attention to detail and business-like manner while helping others do better in their own business venture.  Due to her strong work ethic and Bart’s artistic ability in wood design, their small business is becoming a great success!

David and I have owned our own business for over 30 years now and have learned to recognize that passion + hard work can equal great success over time, and we have found that Josie and Bart will have many, many successful years ahead of them in their business!

Thank you both for the wonderful gifts you make and the enjoyment we receive when giving them to others.  Here is to a product very well done!

1.  Ask the organizer if there is a theme to the party.  It narrows the dishes for you.

2.  Don’t worry about who is allergic to what.  Bring a dish that YOU like.  Period.

3.  Bring a dish or platter to serve your food … like a my guide.  Helps with access and presentation.

4.  Make dips. They are wildly popular.  Try this recipe.

Spoon yogurt into a coffee filter-lined sieve set over a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Discard liquid which collects in bowl. Combine drained yogurt with remaining ingredients (cream cheese through pepper) in a bowl. Using medium speed of an electric mixer, beat until blended. Spoon dip into a serving dish. Cover & refrigerate. Serve with pita wedges or crudites. Makes 2 cups.

5.  Bring a “thank you” gift.  Use the my guide you had served your food on to give the hostess as a “thank you” gift.  Great idea Judy!

1.  Personalizing your gifts by engraving.

– Engrave their first names and the date they received the key to their home.  This works well especially when it is a first time home buyer.

– Engrave their street address of their home and the date they received the keys.

– Engrave the name of the family “The Smiths” and the year they bought the house.

– Simply say “Congratulations from ____”

– Remember to include your name (first name only preferably).  The key is making it more of a personal gift from you instead of a gift from a business transaction.
